Counting butterflies in urban and rural areas

Join Professor Guy Pe'er from our partners Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig, for a presentation providing the details of how to count butterflies in rural and urban areas, part of our work monitoring farmland butterflies.

The session is of interest to both butterfly experts and interested beginners. 

Guy will talk through main protocols involved when considering choosing your sites, adaptations necessary between rural and urban areas, and the desired outcomes for Agroecology-TRANSECT and UNPplus.
